As life sweeps past us at a dizzying pace, moments of reflection can be tinged with a melancholic lens. As we notice ourselves trying to capture moments and hold them close the understanding that no matter how hard we try they will inevitably slip away. A sense of nostalgia for now dances at the edge of the everyday accelerated by the archival nature of our social media existence. We look at effects of nostalgia in current societal practices and ponder how the process of yearning for the current moment shifts our perspectives.
